On Saturday, August 26th, 2017 from 8am-10am, Success Studio will be bringing back the Strong Persons Competition!

In 2013, our members competed to show just how impressive they are, and that hard work and dedication pay off! 

This year, we want to invite all of our members to pick one friend or family member to compete alongside, who is not currently a member of Success Studio. As a pair, you will go head-to-head in a variety of physical competitions against other pairs.  Competition heats will be split up into male and female heats, and there will be two heats for each gender based on age (18-48 years old and 49+).

Description of Competition Events

Atlas Stones - Move dumbbells of increasing weight from the ground to an elevated surface as quickly as you can. You will be scored based on the time it takes you to complete this task.

Shuttle Run - Move a series of weighted plates from Point A to Point B as quickly as you can, one plate at a time. You will be scored based on the time it takes you to complete this task.

Justice Hold - Hold a dumbbell of a specified weight in each hand, with outstretched arms, out to your side, and parallel to the floor for as long as you can. Don't let your arms drop! You will be scored based on how long you can hold this position.

Farmer's Walk - Hold a kettlebell of a specified weight in each hand, down at your sides, and walk from Point A to Point B as quickly as you can. You will be scored based on the time it takes you to complete this task.

Sand Ball Toss - While standing still, toss a weighted sandball as far as you can. You will be scored based on how far you can launch the sand ball.

Squat Hold - Maintain a squat position (90-degrees at the knees) for as long as you can. You will be scored based on how long you can hold this position.

Wagon Pull - Pull a wagon with a specified weight inside from Point A to Point B as quickly as you can. You will be scored based on the time it takes you to complete this task.

Donut Eating Contest - While laying flat on your back, devour a donut that is hanging from a string, held by your partner, as quickly as you can. You will be scored based on the time it takes you to complete this task.
